Knowledge Sharing Through Agent Migration with Multi-Population Cultural Algorithm
نویسندگان
چکیده
This study presents a new method for knowledge transfer in Multi-Population Cultural Algorithms (MPCA) through agent migration. This agent-based algorithm involves having individual agents using one of multiple pre-defined knowledge algorithms to determine behavior, and using the success of it and other agents to decide on which knowledge algorithms to use next. Two or more subpopulations with their own knowledge algorithm are created. The agents work in the same environment by only communicating with agents within their own subpopulation, and with two global belief spaces monitoring the effectiveness of each subpopulation. Agents transfer between the subpopulations regularly to further improve individual success. We use the as testbed. Experimental results reveal the impact of individual knowledge transfer on the target subpopula.

متن کاملClassifier systems evolving multi-agent system with distributed elitism
Classifier systems are rule-based control systems for the learning of more or less complex tasks. They evolve in an autonomous way through solution without any external help. The knowledge base (the population) consists of rule sets (the individuals) randomly generated. The population evolves due to the use of a genetic algorithm. Solving complex problems with classifier systems involves proble...
متن کاملA Knowledge-Migration-Based Multi-Population Cultural Algorithm to Solve Job Shop Scheduling
In this article, a multipopulation Cultural Algorithm (MP-CA) is proposed to solve Job Shop Scheduling Problems (JSSP). The idea of using multiple populations in a Cultural Algorithm is implemented for the first time in JSSP. The proposed method divides the whole population into a number of sub-populations. On each sub-population, a local CA is applied which includes its own population space as...
متن کاملA Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....
